Not worth what I am paying

Building needs more consistent care. Things like the elevator being out for weeks, or our front door buzzer system simply not being replaced for months is super common. I went through a period where I was only getting mail intermittently (sometimes once a week) because the mail main couldn't get in as we hadn't given him an updated key/code. Additionally, our on-site manager never seems to be around. Although he's a nice guy, when I've had to ask for anything, it often is met with a text that he is traveling or unavailable. I don't ask for much, and thankfully none of these things have been big emergencies, but it's a pattern that could be a problem for myself or others in the building in the future. There just seems to be a complete lack of caring overall and and this company doesn't make it easy to get ahold of a real person to complain even if they wanted to, which I'm pretty sure is intentional. My next property that I rent from will definitely not be a Brick and Timber property.

Good for where it is

If you are okay with the conditions near the Tenderloin and can tolerare loudness at all hours on the streets and trash/poop all over the sidewalks then these apartments are some of the nicer apartments in the area. But I would not recommend for long term due to location, lack of amenities, etc. In-unit washer and dryer and an upgraded interior are about all I love about the apartment & building.

Our elevator is constantly breaking, repairs take multiple days to resolve, construction noise is frequent even on weekend mornings. Location is great. No parking (that's why 1 star, not property management's fault; no amenities which is roughly the same).
