I loved my stay here. Community is well maintained and clean. All amenities are great, staff is helpful and proactive. Apartments are renovated.

after a year of residence

I have been staying here for a year now. And will move out as soon as I can afford a better place hopefully 2020. Off late, we have to enter the building flanked by smelling trash bins on either side. People don't seperate dry recyclable trash properly from organic so there is a stench around the entrance from the parking lot. Despite repeated requests to the staff, I was told to write to a higher up manager and essentially was told that there is not much they can do about the location of trash bins in the face of occupants walking in and out the basement parking. Washer at my floor has conked out for a week with old water in it , no repairman in sight. Washer drier conked out 3 times in last few months . Everytime they take a week to fix it. The building amenities had a glorious past . But other apartments at this rate offer newer upgraded facilities in mountain view. Its no longer value for $$. Staff is polite but things don't get done. The one nice thing about this community is the lake and birds in it. And the large old pine trees around here. When i moved in teh rent was a few `hundreds less than other units of same size because my kitchen was not re-modelled. WHat i did not expect that they were just not functional. after 7- 8 visits and complaints they replaced the dishwasher and cooking unit with refurbished appliances. I could not not cook for over a few months with most of the burners and dishwasher not working. Bedroom fuse keeps blowing up when i use a lamp , any lamp. So I use a low wattage bulb with dim lights in the bedroom. I pretty much cannot have a study there.

Great Place for Families and Just Living Life

I moved from Oakland to be closer to work. Of all of the places I toured Americana was the best bang for buck. It's an older facility and you can feel it with some of the carpeting, decor choices. It makes up for this with an amazing maintenance crew and cheerful staff. Super close to highways and parking is always available. I've always felt safe and the only reason I'm moving is just to be around nightlife more. Would recommend to a family/quite person who just needs to get things done for work and relax at home.
