decent location, great amenities, overpriced apartments

It's really not that bad for a building in the middle of DTLA however it does have its cons. Firstly for a building that has 8 floors- 4 floors of parking should be enough to cover us all. However, when a parking garage is shared by us and a building at least 20 floors higher than us, and retail parking things claustrophobically tight-- especially when you pay upwards of $175 monthly to park, more if you want to reserve a spot. Plus there's absolutely no security or gate to keep non residents out of resident parking, no way of telling who is paying their monthly dues to park here or who may vandalize residents cars. Secondly the building itself is gorgeous and the amenities are terrific, but the apartments themselves are extremely subpar in comparison. The bedrooms are small and cramped, enough to fit a bed, dresser and maybe a desk if your lucky, but by that point you've run out of corners. I live in a 2 bedroom for <4k/ month and even that feels small, I couldn't even imagine living in a studio thats 1/4 of my apt and is still at least 2k. Honestly I get it the money we pay is mostly for the upkeep of the building, paying the 24 hour concierge and giving me more opportunity to go to the gym "for free". The unfortunate thing is that for the area, this is probably one of the better buildings in a decent price range, and knowing how expensive LA gets I probably won't be able to move anywhere better for less.

The staff and management are amazing! I have never had an issue at this building. Downtown may be less than ideal but they are great here.
