Review
Complex added payment increases including parking and utilities which weren’t charges in my initial lease. I went from having 2 parking spaces that were included in my rent to having to pay for a single spot. The property leaves much to be desired as far as keeping the grounds clean overall. The laundry facilities went over a year without being cleaned properly and a resident started cleaning them. The Lake has not been maintained and is a sad sight. Money was spent to update the pool furniture and get a barbecue, but we dont have clean or functional laundry facilities. Utility prices are over what was discussed. It took months to get maintenance to fix a simple issue in my unit. Prices go up while the neighborhood goes down. What has the potential to be excellent has really been squandered. Updating appearance rather than quality.
Not what it used to be
It used to be nice living here. Now, rent has gone up, this new company charges us for parking, charges us for water, sewer, trash, and soon wants to charge us for them wanting to install washers and dryers. The grounds are always messy with trash and debris all over. There are constantly outsiders coming in and going through our trash… So what is the point of the gates again? Half the time the gate is broken anyways the lakes just isn’t what it used to be.
Solid Concord Option
My unit is nicely remodeled, the open floorplan is great, and I love having the spacious balcony and view of the lake. The central location near BART and downtown Concord is also desirable. The property does not have as many amentities as others in the area. Also, movement by tenants in the unit above is extremely loud, the floors seem very thin so it can be noisy. If my rent is not raised I will continue to stay since the pros outweigh the cons and my rent is reasonable.
