False Advertisement

I rarely leave reviews, but the ongoing issues at One Club have reached a point that prospective residents deserve to be made aware of—and ownership needs to hear. Most problems here are not due to the staff. In fact, the staff members who try to provide good service never last long enough to make a difference. The root issue is ownership. Since February, there have been approximately twenty different staff and management members. Every time the community begins to stabilize, the owner replaces the team entirely. This revolving door creates constant confusion, inconsistent communication, unanswered service requests, and a complete lack of accountability. Policies, fees, amenity access, and even lease terms seem to change without warning. There is no consistency in how the property is managed. Prices fluctuate, community standards shift weekly, and residents often feel left in the dark. What is advertised as a “premier resort-style community” in Gulf Shores is, in reality, nowhere close to that standard. What’s most disappointing is that the potential is here. The property could easily be one of the best places to live in the area—if it were properly managed and funded. But decisions are being driven by short-term gain rather than long-term value. There is very little visible investment back into the grounds, amenities, or resident experience. Maintenance requests are delayed, amenities are frequently down or restricted, and there is no sense of community because there is no stability in leadership. Until there is drastic change at the ownership level, I cannot recommend living here. I am looking forward to the end of my lease, and I will not be renewing. If you’re considering One Club, I strongly suggest you ask current residents about their experiences and pay close attention to the turnover and inconsistency. One Club could be everything it claims to be, but under the current ownership and management approach, it simply is not—and will not be.

Why do I pay $99 a month now that there is no discount for golf? I can’t play Volleyball with 2 people. I can join Planet Fittness for $20 a month. Will the pool be open all year?
