A wonderful place to live with excellent staff and convenient to Five Points South. My only issue with the location is that parking can be troublesome to find.

old building with issues

Windows have been rotten with major gaps since we moved in. No resolution 7 months later. Had to use duct tape to cover gaps.

Life on Highland

I have enjoyed living here for the most part but over the past two years have seen the service in keeping the breezeways clean, which I have put several request in for this year and still have yet to see them mopped. I used to be proud of living here and do like my own apartment overall, but I'm not comfortable inviting guest over because of the unkept view of the breezeway and stairwells. I'm hoping to move at the end of my 3rd year lease and have enjoyed the area overall and love my porch. But I have had difficulty in getting some simple requests met like cleaning the breezeway. The staff is great and I enjoy being here because of them, I truly like Ed and Fred in maintenance and Niki in management; they have been great. But my concern is that the corporate team of managers is not concerned with the cleanliness of the facility. Robin

Great Location - Poorly Run Company

The staff on site have always been great people. Unfortunately, Stone River and/or Sterling Capital is poorly run. It appears the company is only concerned with profit and shareholder returns instead of understanding the tenants and employees are the only reason you are able to make money. Your profit isn't determined by the people sitting in the corporate office. My suggestion is you pay employees enough to keep them and treat them well enough to make them want to stay. Your last manager left after they requested a demotion to go to another property. That is a pathetic representation of how the company is run. When the company realizes investing in people is the only way to increase the profit it will be a success. As it stands now, the tenant turnover and employee turnover increases carrying cost having to renovate(patch at best) units and train new employees is the 5% you can't realize on your bottom line. Money is the root of all evil. Stone River/Sterling is sinking because you can't figure that out!
