Why Renters Love It Here
The Staff and Maintenance Team
I completed my first year of living at Metro Apartment. And I do not regret deciding to live here. I was looking to rent from a place with a good management team. Plus, I wanted to live downtown Mpls. I found Metro Apartment through my year-long research. I received a friendly staff that used email instead of paper. Update the tenants by email (which is the current time we live). When I've created a maintenance request, the person in charge is prompt, even on weekends. I walk to work by the skyways, and food is all around me, plus Target.
16 Month Review
Overall, I've enjoyed living here. My only complaints are that the gym isn't the greatest, and the apartments either get AC or Heat, and there's no thermometer built into the thermostat. The gym could use a power rack instead of the old machines they have, and the treadmills are old but still functional. I don't find myself going to the gym very often. The thermostat in the apartments is not self-regulating, so leaving it on will make it very cold or very hot unless you turn it off periodically (doing that also saves you from an expensive power bill). I think the location is great, and it allows me to get everywhere I need without owning a car, which saves me a ton since I don't have to pay for a parking spot. When the windows are shut, I barely hear the noise from outside, but this goes away as soon as I open them. Being downtown, there are plenty of sirens, planes, and construction noises at all hours, but this is only a problem for the few weeks around when they switch between AC and Heat, so leaving the windows open makes the temperature better in the apartment. I don't hear much noise from my upstairs neighbor, but I will note that you can hear people in their apartments while you're in the hallway. The doors aren't very good for blocking noise. Overall this is a great apartment for my needs.
