What it costs to rent in the largest renter hubs in the St. Louis area

The city with the largest renter share is St. Louis (52%), followed by St. Ann, where there are 44% renters. In St. Ann, apartment rents increased by 8.4% since last year, reaching $760. Maryland Heights has the third largest share of renters (42%) and has experienced a rent increase of 2.5% in the last year. reaching $988. Hazelwood, with an average rent of $788, has the fourth largest share of renters (39%) and has experienced a rent increase of 3.4% since January 2020. For renters in search of budget-friendly apartments, St. Ann's $760 average rent is the cheapest in the St. Louis area, followed by Hazelwood's $788 rate. Florissant rentals are the third least pricey on the list, with a $811 average apartment rate.
