Nashville’s average rent reached $1,407 in March, after a 1.5% decrease since last year. With a renter share of 44%, Nashville is a desirable place to live and work in, with apartment prices similar to the national average of $1,407.
The average rent for an apartment in Nashville decreased compared to Franklin ($1,544), where prices went up by 2.1% since last year. At the same time, in Murfreesboro ($1,195), rent went up by 3.1%.

The city with the largest renter share is Murfreesboro (46%), followed by Nashville, where there is a 44% renter share.
