Oklahoma City’s average rent reached $804 in January after a 2.2% increase since last year. Renters make up 39% of Oklahoma City's population. The largest city in Oklahoma is a great place to live and work, with apartment prices below the national average of $1,392.

The average rent for an apartment in Oklahoma City has increased more compared to other surrounding cities such as Edmond ($934), where prices went up by 0.5%. On the other hand in Norman, rent went up by 2.9% compared to last year, reaching $925.

What it costs to rent in the Oklahoma City metro area

Despite a 0.8% increase, Bethany rentals are the most budget-friendly option in the Oklahoma City area, with an average price of $645. At $715 a month, following a 3.2% increase, renting in Midwest City is another attractive option. A renter-majority city (60%), Stillwater experienced a 0.9% decrease compared to last year, reaching $838.
