Nice & peaceful. Only down side is the heating system. Need to updated from radiant to central and it will be the perfect place to stay.

    4/5 Adriana R. on May 22, 2020

I was surprised to hear we couldn't utilize grills on patios so that was upsetting. But also, I understood when I signed lease and even with Illinois guidelines that individuals were not allowed to smoke in building. I have 2 neighbors who smoke daily both on patios as well in bathrooms and it is upsetting due to my son having asthma and most days we can't have patio door open due to smell.

In 2009, the same publication placed it at #17 on their list of the best places for the rich and single. Situated within the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor, it’s ideal for young professionals, while the safe, small town vibe and top-ranking schools attract families.

With a population of just 23,024 and a total area of 7.19 sq. miles, Lisle is among the smallest of Chicago’s suburbs, and enjoys a low population density. Compared to Chicago itself, Lisle is more than 117 times smaller.

Tips for renting in Lisle, IL

Lisle is a good choice for anyone looking for a quieter, more relaxed pace of life. Compared to Chicago, Lisle is a tiny village, but if the idea of a small suburb puts you off, don’t despair. The surrounding area, while dotted with areas of natural beauty, is mostly urban, ensuring you’ll still be able to get your fix of nightlife, in neighboring towns such as Naperville. Commute times during rush hour can be arduous however, especially if you have to travel to downtown Chicago.

For those moving from warmer climes, the wind, rain, and snow can be a shock to the system. Anyone who is planning to drive a private vehicle would do well to take a refresher or advanced winter driver course, to learn more about snow chains, and how to handle the inevitable icy conditions. With Lisle itself somewhat lacking in local amenities, you may find that a private vehicle is extremely useful.

Crime rates are extremely low, and the village is home to a number of excellent schools, making it ideal for families.
