I just reserved my apartment at Altis Santa Barbara and can't wait to move in. I love the private entrances with garages and the apartment is so spacious. The office staff made me feel so at ease when applying and I got approved right away. I highly reccommend this beautiful community.

    Living in Naples, FL

Situated in Collier County, Naples is a vibrant small city on the southwest coast of Florida. Naples is the place to rent for those who want to experience the true meaning of Florida’s luxury living along sandy beaches, luxury rentals and numerous golf courses. Plus, its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico keeps the climate mild and pleasant year-round. Temperatures here range between 68°F and 92°F, with plenty of sunshine and low precipitation. As such, renters should be prepared for common thunderstorms during the late spring and summer months. With its beautiful beaches, warm weather, and abundance of amenities to explore, Naples is growing in popularity among both residents and renters.

    Renting in Naples, FL

Naples is the epitome of luxury living: There are many private areas with rentals boasting waterfront views; quiet, residential areas with excellent schools nearby; and communities with access to golf courses, tennis courts and biking trails. Notably, Port Royal, Old Naples, Pelican Bay and Park Shore are home to the most extravagant celebrity mansions and waterfront properties, while Aqualane Shores, Coquina Sands and Moorings are the neighborhoods with more affordable rentals (though still priced relatively high compared to the rest of Florida). Keep in mind that Florida does not have rent control laws, which means landlords can increase rents with prior notice. And, while the landlord does have to provide a habitable rental unit at all times, they can ask for a security deposit to offset any damage to it during the rental period. Meanwhile, renters are usually responsible for paying utilities on time, but this responsibility should be defined in the lease agreement.

    Things for renting

    Shopping in Naples, FL

As a city known for luxury, Naples doesn’t lack in shopping opportunities, so renters have access to exclusive shopping streets like Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South. There are also several malls in the area, including the chic Waterside Shops and the upscale Coastland Center. Between these areas, renters can shop from luxury brands and designer stores like Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Banana Republic, Lilly Pulitzer, Williams-Sonoma, Carolina Herrera, Tiffany and many more. Renters will also find one-of-a-kind shops and boutiques throughout the city offering everything from beachwear and souvenirs to designer clothes and fine jewelry. In addition, shoppers can take advantage of the many tax-free zones in Naples that offer significant savings on clothing and other items. For grocery shopping, renters typically go to the local supermarkets Publix Super Market, Wynn’s Market, Winn-Dixie, Key Foods Supermarket and Oakes Farms Market. Big-box stores like Walmart, Costco, The Home Depot and Lowe’s are also available.

    Transportation in Naples, FL

The fastest way to get around Naples is by car. U.S. Highway 41 is the main thoroughfare that connects to a network of roads and allows commuting renters to get around the city. However, if you’re not used to driving in heavy traffic, adjusting to Naples’ busy streets may take some time. Fortunately, many pedestrian-friendly paths and bike lanes provide an alternative and eco-friendly way for renters to get around without a car. Likewise, public bus transportation runs along major thoroughfares from early morning to afternoon, while the local trolleys run between the city’s main attractions. Several taxi services and ridesharing providers, like Uber and Lyft, can also help renters get around the city. Alternatively, renters who need air travel can use Naples Airport (APF). But, because it’s mostly private and has restricted public access, Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is the better option. It’s located about 36 miles south of the city.
