    4.5/5 Anthony M. on Aug 1, 2024

It is a brand new building and I'm sure that we don't quite have the entire experience yet but so far my wife and I love living at West SD

    3.5/5 David C. on Oct 28, 2024

The building is beautiful and has excellent amenities, but the staff could be more friendly and should organize some community events. The building is cleaned regularly on the main floor (good) but the resident floors are not cleaned often (bad). The location is also a mixed experience, with transients all around. I have been yelled at several times when walking my dog. Overall, 3.5/5 -- some easy fixes could bring it to 4.5/5.

Living in Coronado, CA

When many renters are thinking about typical southern California living, they often picture spending their days in a sun-drenched apartment with easy access to the great outdoors, including miles of sandy beaches to catch the waves at sunrise, as well as spectacular sunsets, gorgeous weather year-round, and a laid-back lifestyle with an emphasis on health and physical activity. With this in mind, Coronado, CA — a small, island city located off the coast of San Diego — offers all of this and then some. As such, renters will have no difficulty finding excuses to leave their rental apartment to take advantage of the amenities, including beaches ranging from a surfer’s paradise to undeveloped shoreline; 16 miles of boardwalk for jogging or taking in the natural beauty of the island at a slower pace; golf courses; as well as opportunities to sail, skateboard, kayak and paddle board for the more adventurous. Meanwhile, renters with children appreciate the highly rated public school system, safe living environment, tight-knit community, and family-friendly activities and festivals year-round. However, renting an apartment in Coronado comes at a steep price: Renters who are considering moving to this southern Californian paradise should prepare themselves for a cost of living that’s significantly higher than the national average and even above the average for the rest of the state of California.

Renting in Coronado, CA

Coronado offers a mixed urban-suburban environment where you can find an apartment for rent in a high-rise community by the beach or a quiet rental property in a residential neighborhood a few minutes from the shoreline. Renters are the minority in Coronado, where slightly more residents own their homes. Before starting your hunt for an apartment for rent in Coronado, renters should recognize that the average rent on this paradise-like island may be significantly higher than even the average for the notoriously expensive San Diego-Carlsbad metropolitan area. However, renters in Coronado pay, at the most, the equivalent of two months’ rent for an unfurnished rental apartment and three months for a furnished apartment for a security deposit, according to the rental laws in California.
