Property reviewsAnonymous on May 5, 2024I have lived here for a year and half. The management group is great and gets back to be in a timely manner. The location is fantastic, and compared to other nearby apartments, it's a great value. There are three issues that I would like to bring up, listed in order of importance. The first thing is the lighting. This apartment only has two windows: one for the living room and one small one in the kitchen. This means there are no windows in the bedroom, which absolutely wrecked my circadian rhythm. More generally, the lack of direct sunlight makes the apartment feel very dark. Your natural light comes from the sun bounding off the brick wall across the alleyway; the sun will never come straight in through your windows. As someone who works from home, this is by far the biggest issue I have with the apartment. The second thing is the noise of the bar downstairs. While the bar usually closes at 11, they host private parties and comedy nights that can go indefinitely into the night. These events happen about every two weeks and will typically go until about 2:30 in the morning. However, every once in a while, they will be blaring music until 6 am, during which sleep is impossible. If you're a night owl like me, then this is more of an annoyance than a total deal breaker, but still very annoying when it happens. Finally, the wood floors are somewhat worn out. They are starting to peel up, and there are several uneven screws in the floor. This is a recipe for torn socks and makes it almost impossible to use a Swiffer broom because the pad snags. I know I just complained a lot, but this has been a perfectly fine apartment. It's clean, it's safe, and it's in a super convenient part of town for running errands and having fun on the weekends.
