As a resident, I love living within walking distances of both campuses. The amenities are best value in comparison to surrounding apartments and the organic grocery store is across the street!
Anonymous on Apr 1, 2024I have lived at The Maven for almost a year now and have enjoyed my time here. The new management company has been great and I am liking the upgrades they are doing. However, there are some things that could be better. The cost for parking seems a bit excessive. $175 a month when we are already paying so much just in rent. Parking down the street for the general public is $125 a month. I would also like to see an upgraded entry system. The old school call box seems a bit out of date for a new building that costs so much to live in. I would also like the option to enter through the garage without having to open the big garage door and for there to be an option to grant my guests access from the 1st Ave door in the back of the building. The only way my guests can enter without me having to go down and get them is through the front door that is on Broadway with very minimal parking, so my guests park near the back door and have to walk all the way around the building. I am also paying $75 a month for an "Amenity Fee" which doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. Shouldnt that just be built into the rent? I know there are some subscription services for the TV and radio in the community rooms but I havent seen them working nor can I connect my phone to the bluetooth to play my own music. So if those are not operational, what is this fee for? The gallery space has also been completely unused and has very little artwork in it. Its just a big empty space. Its awkward to walk through and have my guests ask "What is this space used for?" and I have to reply, "I think its supposed to be an art gallery but there has never been any art in it." With the front lobby area being so upscale, its strange that the back entry is so empty and has an industrial storage room feel to it. These are minor items but for the cost to live there, these are conveniences and aesthetics you would expect to see in a luxury apartment building downtown.
