I have lived here almost 5 years even though as a traveling tradesman I could move every year to the best location I could find. However I cannot find anything better. What's so great about this particular location compared to other gated communities ? First, this place is located on a quiet back road behind a big hospital. Nurses and doctors use our quiet street for exercise and lunch time walks. I dare you to find something of this caliber that doesn't have traffic on all four sides. Second, safety. I work varied shifts and I exercise at odd hours, sometimes at 3 am, sometimes at midnight. I have walked around the area outside and inside the gated community and there has never been a safety issue except for a loud Friday night party literally once a year. I have sat numerous times in the chairs around the pond in the middle of the night, fallen asleep and woke up an hour later to find my phone and my IPad still in my lap. I have received literally hundreds of Amazon and other packages some of them visibly expensive, at my front door and except for a mistaken delivery of a neighbors package once , not a single one has gone missing in almost five years The management takes safety and our well being seriously. Third, aesthetic appeal. The grounds are kept very clean, everything is maintained and any maintenance requests are answered promptly. I even have cell phone numbers of some staff members for emergencies? Who does that? Nobody. And last but most important, the staff. I don't care how posh your location is, if your staff is subpar, your place falls apart. Weeds, trash, broken grills, chairs and gates. You will not find that here. These people make their business not only to keep the place in top shape, they also make interactions very professional and pleasant. I know everyone in the office by their names. Mr Joe, Mr Gerald take care of maintenance and Ms Tony works in the office and shows the property to clients. Ms Mary is the office manager. I love it here.

This is the best property in Chesapeake Virginia. I fall asleep sitting by the lake at three am and I wake up and my phone and my book are still there. Quiet, peaceful in a city of 300 thousand. You will NOT find a better gated community in this town, period.
