Make room for roommates when gaming
Video games can be a true bonding experience if you play them with your roommate. Team up to build trust or go head-to-head for a little friendly competition. Here are some of the best games to enjoy with your roommate at your side:
Battlefield 3. There are a lot of shooters to choose from, but BF3 takes the cake. It’s popular across a number of platforms, is the latest in a franchise that is tried and true, and offers great multiplayer action. Team up with your roommie to squash competition online, or go head-to-head for household bragging rights. Either way, your relationship is forged in the crucible of war.
Mario Kart Wii. Mario Kart has been a Nintendo staple for over 20 years and the Wii version keeps the ball rolling. Team play in battle mode is fun but the game really shines when you’re competing head-to-head for racing glory. Dozens of characters, vehicles, race tracks, power ups… Mario Kart Wii delivers it all.
Minecraft. This game is all about sharing, which makes it the perfect vehicle to hone teamwork and camaraderie. Build your relationship with your roommie as you team up to build a perfect shared world. I don’t know for sure if this is the work of roommates, but my gut tells me “Of course it is!”:
Team Fortress 2. Class-based, multiplayer team warfare action with a huge sense of humor. Loads of fun when you have your roommate at your side… how can you say “no” to action like this:
World of Warcraft. Almost a decade later, WoW is still the king of the MMORPG ring. If you and your roommie aren’t at least in the same faction, there is no way you can have a happy relationship. Team up in a guild to build bonds of fellowship that even Deathwing the Destroyer cannot overcome.
