Ice cream party at my place!
Of all the fun ideas to beat the heat this summer I must confess ice cream is my favorite. There’s nothing better than the refreshing taste of a strawberry vanilla swirl to relish in on a hot summer’s day! If you’re looking for a way to cool off and have a good time with your friends, think about throwing a fun ice-cream party at your apartment. It’s National Ice Cream Month anyway so we might as well indulge in some fabulous treats!

First you have to prepare the space for this sweet bash. Instead of purchasing the decorations you could enroll in a DIY project, especially if you possess some creative skills. Make your own themed invitations and tempt your guests with a preview of the specials of the day. Welcome your friends with a nice glass of Champagne, a perfect complement to the enticing desserts and a perfect introduction to the exciting day to follow.

You can adorn your main display table with a themed tablecloth which you can either shape yourself from decorative paper or use a cheap, simple vinyl cloth embellished with some playful glued ornaments. Add some pretty banners made from paper or fabric scraps to give your home a party-flavored look. The frisky colors and joyful décor will surely add a cheerful touch to your party.
Or think of some innovative ways to draw attention to your goodies; you could use a plank board as a support for the waffle ice cream cones or use colorful containers for displaying the various toppings, fruits and candy.
The menu is your party’s most important feature. It’s the icing on the cake. If it’s called an ice cream party you should make sure it rises up to its name. Serve all sorts of creamy delights, ice cream sorbets, sundaes, shakes, malts, pastries and cake. And wash it all down with a couple of fruity cocktails, the very essence of summer in a glass; make the ambiance even more inviting by using cheerful straws decorated with baking-cup flowers or festive umbrellas.
That’s just awesome!
