Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con 2012… you had me at “wizard!”

Wizard World swoops into Philadelphia this weekend. You got your wand and blaster ready? Okay, lets go!

Look, I’m not going to bore you with the big names… okay yes I will, but but only because they are huge. For the first time ever, all five Star Trek captains will share a single stage – Oh-Em-JEEZY!!! Chris Hemsworth, maybe you’ve heard of him? Thor, Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman… yeah, he’ll be there. Comics legend Stan Lee, also there. Illustrator Boris Vallejo is making one of his rare appearances.

I’m actually more interested in the roster of B-stars that are going to be in attendance. I got two words for you – Jason Priestley! I’m all about some Brandon Walsh. Jackie “the Jokeman” Martling? Love to hear what he’s been up to since losing his gig with Howard Stern. The ever lovely Erin Gray (Buck Rogers, Silver Spoons) will be there. They also have some big reunions/panels planned, including The Boondock Saints, Evil Dead, Legend of the Seeker, and a few more.

There are also some great events on tap. The “Superhero Pub Crawl” promises to get messy, but where else do you have a chance to hook up with multiple Wonder Women? The “Lightsaber Master Class” sounds pretty boss. “Sci-fi Speed Dating” sounds like Loserville… moving on.

The merchandise tables will be humming. Where else can you find Tribble plushies, WWE trading cards, Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorabilia, and Lou Ferigno signing autographs all in the same place? Other than in a weird dream I had one night after one too many Pat’s cheese steaks, nowhere!
