Wedding Games?! Hunger Games?! I don’t even know anymore!

Three, two, one…And I’ve lived to see them all! The Wedding and Event Institute has launched last week a new competition, and I am almost speechless, almost. “We are looking for 12 tributes from across the globe to compete in Wedding Games. Their mission is to design an Inspiration Board [on Pinterest] and write a concept for a Hunger Games inspired wedding. Are you up for the challenge?”

Yes, they are doing a Hunger Games-themed contest, and I am still writhing uncomfortably in my chair! While the idea might inspire some people, must we go through the whole Twilight phase, Edward vs. Jacob thing again?! We must?! Fine, I am not here to judge – much -, and if you are interested in participating, you should know that the registration period will end today.

So, if you feel that a battle to the death between children might inspire your perfect wedding, by all means, take a gander. You can register here! Keep in mind that the entry box must contain the reasons for which you should be selected above others.

Friday, April 13 – entry for the Wedding Games open

Thursday, April 19 – entry closes

Friday, April 20 – the 12 Tributes will be announced

Monday, April 23 – competition goes live and the games begin.

Friday, April 28 – final board and concept must be submitted by each Tribute.

Monday, April 30 – voting closes

Tuesday, May 1 – the winner is announced

The hungriest wedding player will win a Wedding and Event Institute course of their choosing; a signed copy of Signature Sasha: Magnificent Weddings by Design; a one year membership to WIPA (Wedding Industry Professional Association); a 16GB iPad 2; and a one year subscription to Wedlock Magazine.
