Romantic restaurants for hot dates in Chicago

couple exploring romantic restaurants in chicagoI hope you’re not waiting for Feb 14 to take your significant other out for a romantic dinner.

Every once in a while it’s nice to take a break from the daily routine and go to a special restaurant, just to enjoy some quality time out with your partner. Chicago boasts some incredible locations for that, depending on what you’re looking for.

Merlo on Maple is one of those places that make you want to come back for more. Bringing exquisite ingredients and the cooking experience straight from “la bella Italia”, Maple offers the most sophisticated cuisine of the Bolognese region, including an excellent choice of handmade pastas, sauces, grass-fed meats and wild, fresh-caught fish, all served at the peak of flavor and freshness. For a really authentic taste, try the Tagliatelle al ragu Bolognese, hand-made tagliatelle served with traditional Bolognese meat ragout, following the recipe of downtown Bologna. They’ve also got a nice selection of wines and deserts to complement a fantastic meal. Have you ever tried the panna cotta? What a treat!

Les Nomades would be another great location to spend a perfect evening out. Just steps away from Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, the restaurant features French cuisine at its best. They offer fixed-priced menus, four and five course options for $115 and $130. You’ll have a hard time choosing between the various and equally delicious menu selections; whether it’s the roasted duck breast, the slow-roasted veal and lamb chop or the roasted venison loin, they all taste great!

Tac Quick is a very popular destination among savvy food-lovers. Everything is really good, and very reasonably priced. Make sure to check out their no-so-secret menu for some scrumptious authentic dishes: Moo Ping is an excellent appetizer (grilled marinated pork with spicy homemade sauce) and if you’re a noodle fan, don’t miss the Kuay Teaw Kleua Kai (stir fried wide rice noodle with chicken, onion and leaf lettuce served with Sriracha sauce). Most definitely food is the star at Tac Quick.
