Most cities have bike paths and jogging trails.  It’s easy to find a gym to lift weights or catch a class to get some exercise, but Atlanta, takes getting fit to a whole new level.  In addition to the traditional work out venues, the exercise gurus in Atlanta want you to have fun.  So get your gear on and get ready for workouts that will make you smile.

  • Circus Arts Institute

206 Rogers Street NE, Suite 214, Atlanta

Our number one choice for fun and fitness is the Circus Arts Institute.  The class sessions combine circus equipment and instruction to help you increase strength, flexibility and balance.  This is your chance to try a trapeze, soft rope tricks and balance boards with guided instruction.  There’s even team building courses.

  • Dance 101

If the circus isn’t your thing, head over to Dance 101, the adult dance fitness and performing arts studio.  In addition to their own instructors, Salsambo also teaches classes at the studio every weekend and has trained some of Atlanta’s Salsa superstars.  Classes range from ballet to hip hop to Hula Hoop.  You don’t need rhythm to enjoy dance, just a willingness to try.

  • Atlanta Rocks!

Last but not least on our list of fun workout venues in Atlanta is Atlanta Rocks!  Indoor rock climbing is a great way to escape the heat, challenge yourself, and have fun.   There are training classes to get you started, then it’s simply a matter of going for it.  Real Housewives of Atlanta even filmed a segment here.  This indoor playground for all ages hosts Ladies Climbing Night every Monday, Partner Days on Tuesdays and Family Night on Thursdays.

These are just a few ideas to get you started, but I guarantee you can’t find fitness this fun in every city.
