Lake Worth is an ideal city to call home sweet home, a beach town that's a wonderful place for both singles and families. In fact, Nerd Wallet ranked it as one of 2015's best cities in Florida for young families.

Located in the Miami metro area, Lake Worth's part of Palm Beach County and about 6.5 square miles in area. That's roughly one-third the size of West Palm Beach, one-half the size of Boynton Beach, and less than one-tenth the size of Miami.

West Palm Beach is right next door to Lake Worth, at only about 10 miles away, while Ft. Lauderdale is approximately 46 miles and Miami is 71 miles away.

The weather here's usually sunny and warm. Winter lows average just above 60, so you’ll never be snowed in, while summer highs are usually in the upper 80s.

You won’t experience the traditional four seasons here. Instead, there are only two seasons – wet and dry. May through October are the rainy months, with November through April usually being much drier.
